Scene states — bed up, bed down

Why states

A camper layout isn't one arrangement — it's several. The bed folds down at night and stows for driving; the table swings out for dinner and away for the shower. Scene states capture each arrangement under a name, so you can prove the convertible layout actually works: does the bed clear the kitchen when it's down? Where does the table live when it's up?

A state stores the position, rotation, and visibility of every item at the moment you capture it. Applying a state moves the items back to those spots — it doesn't add or remove anything, and it's fully undoable.

Capturing your first two states

States live in the States tab of the left sidebar. The classic first pair is "Bed down" and "Bed up":

1. Arrange the layout for night — bed unfolded, table stowed.
2. Open the States tab, type a name like Bed down, and press the camera button (or Enter) to capture.
3. Now rearrange for daytime: fold the bed away, bring the table out. You can also hide items that get physically stowed.
4. Type Bed up and capture again.
5. Click either state's row to apply it — the whole layout snaps to that arrangement. Flip between them as often as you like.

Managing states

Hovering a state row reveals two buttons: refresh re-captures the state from the current arrangement (use it after you tweak the bed position), and trash deletes the state. The count next to each name shows how many items it covers.

States are saved with the project — the States tab shows a badge with the count, and your states are there when you come back. If you change the van variant later, applying a state re-settles the items into the new interior.
