The honest verdict
VanLogic is the competitor I respect most on the numbers: it computes axle loads and centre of gravity live and prints a report you can take to the TÜV, in German first. If your whole question is "will it pass the weighbridge" and you want to answer it on your phone, it does that job.
VanPlot answers the same question in a real 3D van — you see the bed, the arches and the taper, not a rectangle — and keeps going: battery and solar sizing, an itemised budget, a stud-level cut list, and one Build Pack that prints all of it. Projects live in the cloud with version history instead of on one phone, and the price is public: $39 once.
Where VanLogic is ahead
Native iOS/Android apps that work offline — VanPlot needs a browser on a desktop-size screen. Tank full-vs-empty scenarios, which VanPlot doesn't model. Eight layout templates per vehicle to my three, and more in-app languages.
Its free tier has no time limit (materials are limited and the Pro sandbox doesn't save). If you plan on a phone in a car park, VanLogic is the better fit today.
