The Plan your Van alternative with real vans and no object cap

Plan your Van gets the price shape right — €9.99 or €24.99 once, no subscription — and totals cost and weight from a database of real products. It also caps the free and Premium tiers at 10 and 30 objects, models generic van shapes, and speaks German only. VanPlot is $39 once for 29 real vehicles with wall taper and arches, unlimited parts, live axle loads and centre of mass, and a stud-level cut list, in seven languages.

Facts from plan-your-van.com, checked 30 September 2026. Plan your Van is made by Meike and Daniel (imprint on their site).

The honest verdict

Plan your Van, a side project by two German students, is the cheapest paid planner here and it charges the right way: once. For a rough German-language layout with a cost and weight total, €9.99 is hard to argue with.

The limits show as soon as the plan gets real: 30 objects on Premium, generic van shapes rather than your exact Ducato L3H2 with its arches and taper, a weight total but no axle split or centre of mass, and nothing you can take to the saw. VanPlot costs more — $39 once — and answers those: 29 real vehicles, unlimited parts, live balance, power, an itemised budget and a stud-level cut list, in seven languages.

Where Plan your Van is ahead

Price: €9.99 or €24.99 once is cheaper than VanPlot's $39, and there is no time limit on its free tier (it caps objects instead). Its cost and weight totals come from a database of real products you can buy, where VanPlot's catalog uses typical weights and prices you adjust.
