Sharing your build

The Share button

Share sits at the right end of the toolbar and opens one modal with everything for showing your build off: share links you can turn off again, the permanent remix link, the build replay reel, and the Layout Roast card. Share links work on the free trial; the permanent remix link and reel recording unlock with your license.

Share links

A share link opens your layout in an interactive 3D viewer — no account needed to look at it. It carries a snapshot of the plan taken when you created it, so keep editing freely; the link keeps showing the version you shared until you make a new one.

Every link you create is listed in the modal with its creation date and a view count, and each one can be switched off and on again or deleted for good. Whoever opens a link can orbit the van, see the item list, pin a note for you (see below), watch the build replay, and press Remix this layout to copy the plan into their own dashboard as a starting point — your original is never touched.

1. Press Share in the toolbar.
2. Press Create share link — the link is copied to your clipboard straight away.
3. Paste it anywhere — chat, forum, email. Use Copy on any link in the list to grab it again later.
4. Done with it? Turn off keeps the link but shows visitors a closed-door page; Turn on brings it back; Delete removes it permanently.

The permanent remix link

The permanent remix link is different: nothing is stored on a server, the entire plan travels inside the URL itself, so it works for as long as the link exists and can never be turned off. It's the link to put in a build thread or a forum signature.

Because the whole layout lives in the URL, the link is long. Some apps truncate very long links — if a recipient sees a "didn't survive the trip" message, send it as plain text or through a different app, or use a share link instead.

The build replay reel

The replay makes the van assemble itself piece by piece, in the order you placed things. It's the most satisfying way to show a finished plan — and it's built for social. Open it from a share link's Replay reel button or, with a license, from Open replay & record.

On the replay page, Replay build plays it on screen, and Record reel captures it as a vertical video sized for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts — watermarked and downloaded automatically when the replay finishes.

The Layout Roast

The Roast scores your layout out of 10 and delivers a one-line verdict with the numbers to back it up — payload, power, and layout sins included. Download roast card (PNG) saves it as a portrait card built for posting: your van, your score, your roast.

It's a bit of fun with real teeth — the score comes from the same design checks the editor runs, so a 9/10 roast card is also a badge that the build actually works.

Notes from the people you share with

Send a share link to a partner, a friend who has built before, or a forum — and they can answer *on the plan* instead of in a wall of text. In the viewer, Pin a note arms a crosshair; a click on any item or spot in the van pins a numbered marker with their note ("No — the fridge door hits the bed here"). A name is optional, and no account is needed.

Back in your editor, a comments chip in the top-right corner of the canvas counts the open notes from all your share links. Clicking it opens the Comments panel in the right rail: each row shows the pin number, who wrote it, when, the note, and the item it sits on; clicking a row highlights that pin in the 3D scene.

1. Send a share link and ask for feedback.
2. Your reviewer presses Pin a note, clicks the item or spot the note is about, types it (500 characters max), and presses Pin note.
3. Open the project, click the comments chip, and read the notes in place — the pins sit exactly where they clicked.
4. Fix what needs fixing, then press Resolve on the note; resolved pins turn grey in the viewer too. Delete note removes one for good.
