Photo mode

A clean shot of your build

Photo mode strips the editor down to just the van: the sidebar, toolbar, and overlays disappear, leaving your build against the sky gradient with a small floating bar of camera controls. It's the tool for the screenshot you post to the forum, send to your partner, or drop into your build planning doc.

Enter it from the View segmented switch in the toolbar (3D · Top · Walk · Photo) or by pressing P. Photo mode is mutually exclusive with the other three camera modes — entering it exits whichever one you were in, and it hands the view straight back to 3D orbit when you leave.

Framing and capturing

The floating bar holds four angle presets, each framing the whole van for the current variant: ¾ Front (the classic hero angle), Side (a straight elevation), ¾ Rear (shows off the garage), and Top (the floor plan). You can also frame freely — orbit, zoom, and pan work exactly as in the editor.

1. Press P (or the Photo segment of the View switch) to enter photo mode.
2. Click an angle preset — or orbit and zoom to your own framing.
3. Press Capture. A PNG named after your project downloads immediately, sky background included.
4. Reframe and capture as many shots as you like, then press the ✕ button to return to the editor.

Setting the scene first

Everything you've staged carries into the shot, so dress the set before entering photo mode: pick a scene backdrop (studio, desert, lake, meadow) in Settings, set the van's paint in the Van inspector, press O to pose the doors open or closed, and apply the scene state you want to show — "Bed down" photographs differently than "Bed up".
